Phone Calls

Whenever possible, you will be requested to come to the clinic to discuss your health-related questions with your doctor. For your safety, treatment is never prescribed by telephone. This policy includes prescription refills.

Laboratory reports are also preferably discussed in person and you will usually be advised to return to the clinic to discuss lab reports.

If you wish to speak directly with your physician please come to the clinic. In order to maintain confidentiality, regulations spelled out in the Health Information Protection Act (HIPA) limit the options available to discuss health care over the phone.

Transfer of Medical Records

It is the right of all patients to have copies of their medical records transferred to selected facilities, agencies, and providers.

In order to process this request, the Mediclinic requires the completion of an authorization form. The Mediclinic will prepare the transfer as soon as possible. Charges associated with the process are the responsibility of the patient. Further, if there is a request for an overview or opinion there may be additional charges depending on the complexity of the request.

Should you have any questions regarding the sharing of your records please call (306) 700-5252 and request to speak with the office manager.
